<\/a><\/p>\nThe winter winds remind me that it is no longer Fall. \u00a0Like it or not snow is on the way. \u00a0The weather people suggest another storm tomorrow, this one more significant than what was supposed to have taken place yesterday. \u00a0We’ll see.<\/p>\n
I enjoy my time on Sunday as I never have before. \u00a0Yesterday held two surprises for me. \u00a0One was that Eric was back for the Sunday School class. \u00a0I always enjoy this time. \u00a0I believe that the conversations that have taken place in this group have largely influenced the church as we experience it. \u00a0Consequently, I am immensely grateful. \u00a0You’d have to journey around the church landscape a bit to fully appreciate the things that I love about our spiritual family. \u00a0When I express my appreciation for our church, I am not wasting words or flattering needlessly. \u00a0CLC has been a fresh breath of hope for Elaine and I. \u00a0More than just hope but the opportunity to observe the birth of something truly new and geared to the realities of our changing world.<\/p>\n
The other surprise was that Jon was back. \u00a0I was expecting to have to lead worship yesterday. \u00a0I enjoy this but it takes a toll on my voice, leaving me a bit croaky by the time that I have to preach.<\/p>\n
This week, I am taking some time off. \u00a0We have family yet to visit for the holiday and I am looking forward to seeing the grandkids. \u00a0I am available if there is a need. \u00a0Please feel free to call me at 222-0410. \u00a0I won’t be keeping office hours.<\/p>\n
As the New Year approaches, I continue to believe for God’s great involvement in my life and our church family. \u00a0Whatever He does, big or little, is truly magnificent. \u00a0As I think of the Isaiah scripture that we shared yesterday, I am reminded that He is a God of the “new<\/strong><\/em>“. \u00a0He doesn’t recycle … doesn’t do encore performances. \u00a0Today is a new day. \u00a0We are approaching a New Year and He has plans. \u00a0Our greatest delight and joy will be to be involved in what He is doing. \u00a0We’ll discover that one day at a time. \u00a0Occasionally the opportunities will shout at us. \u00a0Other times we’ll hear a small whisper.<\/p>\n Let’s tune in to what He is saying.<\/p>\n I truly love you all …<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The winter winds remind me that it is no longer Fall. \u00a0Like it or not snow is on the way. \u00a0The weather people suggest another storm tomorrow, this one more significant than what was supposed to have taken place yesterday. \u00a0We’ll see.
